BALI – 15-Day ISLAND TOUR & BEACH HOLIDAY

ITINERARY

Day 01: LONDON – BALI
Check-in at Heathrow Airport for an overnight one-stop connecting flight to Bali.

Day 02: ARRIVE BALI – UBUD
Arrive at the Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar International), on clearing immigration a Meet& Greet service awaits before the transfer to Ubud. Check-in at the Alaya Resort, Ubud for a 2-Night stay on B/B basis. After period of rest, prepare for a Welcome Dinner – overnight stay at Alaya Resort. (D)

Day 03: UBUD
After Breakfast, hotel pick up for Day Tour. Evening own arrangements – overnight stay at Alaya Resort. (B)

The Day Tour starts at the Ubud Art Village which features many of Bali’s traditional arts and crafts. Then onto Celuk, the village famous for its traditional gold and silver smith’s before visiting the Batuan village with its Balinese Hindu temple , the village is particularly known for artwork which in the 1930s and emerged as an artistic style, known as Batuan painting. After a break for lunch, the tour continues to the Tegenungan Waterfall, known as the “hidden waterfall” a strikingly beautiful place. The tour then returns to the centre of Ubud, with visits to the Monkey Forest and the historic Royal Palace once the home of the Kings of Ubud which is followed by free-time in and around the Ubud unique local community market. Return hotel transfer.

Day 04: UBUD – MUNDUK
After Breakfast, check-out of hotel; pick up for transfer to Munduk. On arrival in Munduk Buleleng check-in at the Sanak Retreat for a 1-Night stay on B/B basis. Evening own arrangements – overnight stay at Sanak Retreat. (BL)

En Route to Munduk there are stops at the Tanah Lot Temple, Jatiluwih with its picturesque rice terraces before a Lunch stop in Bedugul, a cool mountain resort with a very colourful Fruit, Flower and Spice market. After lunch the transfer continues via Lake Beratan, a Crater Lake, with a stop at Pura Ulun Danu one of the most beautiful temples in Bali, surrounded by high peaks the views over the area and the crater lakes of Tamblingan and Buyan are simply amazing.

Day 05: MUNDUK – PEMUTERAN
After Breakfast, check-out of hotel; pick up for transfer to Pemuteran. On arrival in Pemuteran check-in at the Kinaara Resort & Spa for a 2-Night stay on B/B basis. Evening traditional Dinner – overnight stay at the Kinaara Resort & Spa. (BD)

En Route , with stops and visits to the Pemuteran Coffee Plantation, the Rice Terrace at Mayong Village, Banjar Hot Springs for some time to relax in the opened air hot springs, before the last stop at the Pura Pulaki, one of the six most sacred temples of Bali.

Day 06: PEMUTERAN
After Breakfast, the day is free with time to enjoy the area and the facilities of Kinaara Resort & Spa a stylish, quality hotel with an outdoor swimming pool, each room with unique wooden architecture has a seating area, a personal safe, a fan, an electric kettle, and an en-suite bathroom with free toiletries, hairdryer, and slippers., free Wi-Fi is available in public areas- overnight stay at the Kinaara Resort & Spa. Pemuteran is a small fishing village which has become very popular with visitors; the beaches are especially nice and consist of fine grained black sand. Pemuteran is home to a Biorock and Coral Reef, the largest artificial Biorock reef project in the world, it’s right on the main beach where you can hire goggles and snorkel, and there is a real spirit of marine conservation effort in this area. Just east of Pemuteran alongside the road is the Pura Pulakih, the Monkey Temple which offers great photo opportunities with the ocean and beach background. Early morning dolphin watching boat trips can be arranged by the hotel, which is located 5-minutes from Pemuteran Beach.

Day 07: PEMUTERAN – CANDIDASA
After Breakfast, check-out of hotel; pick up for transfer to Candidasa. On arrival in Candidasa check-in at the Rama Candidasa Resort & Spa for a 2-Night stay on B/B basis. Evening traditional Dinner – overnight stay at the Rama Candidasa Resort & Spa. (BLD)

En Route there are stops and visits to the Pura Beji a Subak temple built in the 15th century dedicated to the spirit that “looks after the irrigation and rice fields”. This temple is famous for the beautiful carvings and colourful architectural style of northern Bali. This journey into the volcanic region is on a remote mountain road linking Kubutambahan, a small coastal village on the North coast to Kintamani. The village sits on the rim of the huge Batur crater with impressive views of Mt Batur (1412m), Bali’s the most active volcano and the serene large crescent-shaped Lake Batur. As well as the lake and the volcano, Kintamani is home to Pura Ulun Danu Batur, a temple dedicated to the goddess of the lake. Lunch in a local restaurant. The next stop is the famous Besakih temple located on the western slopes of Mt Agung, Bali’s highest volcano (2 567 m). Known as the ‘Mother Temple’ , its Bali’s most important temple and home to the island’s Mother Temple, Court House of Justice at Klungkung, constructed in the late 18th century, the walls and ceilings are covered with paintings depicting episodes and scenes of the horrors awaiting those who do evil while on earth. The last stop on the journey to Candidasa is at Goa Lawa (Bats Cave) a cave with thousands bats hanging on the wall of the cave.

Day 08: CANDIDASA
After Breakfast, hotel pick up; for the magic Palaces and Gardens East Coast tour. Evening own arrangements – overnight stay at the Rama Candidasa Resort & Spa. (B)

The magic Palaces and Gardens East Coast tour first stop is at Tirta Gangga, a royal water garden composed mainly of water, plants and sculptures situated in the middle of rice fields around the natural springs of Rejasa. The next tour stop is at the Heritage site of Puri Agung Karangasem this unique building with old and new parts is decorated with Chinese ornaments and leaf patterns is also known as the Karangasem Palace. The final stop of the day is at Ujung Water Palace, built by the King of Karangasem in 1909. The palace has three large pools, the middle of the pool with the main building “Gili Bale” is connected by a bridge. Return hotel transfer.

Day 09: CANDIDASA – SANUR
After Breakfast, check-out of hotel; pick up for transfer to Sanur a short trip down the coast. Sanur was Bali’s earliest beach resort and the first with beachfront hotels and resorts. Now the former fishing village is an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops and bars, and modern entertainment venues but it has managed to retain its laid back atmosphere and maintains its wealth in arts and culture. On arrival in Sanur check-in at the Puri Santrian Hotel, Sanur for a 1-Night stay on B/B basis. At last “time to slow down”, rest of the day free – overnight stay at the Puri Santrian Hotel. (B)

Day 10: SANUR – SEMINYAK
After Breakfast, check-out of hotel; pick up for transfer to Seminyak via the Bukit Peninsula, with a stop Nusa Dua and the famous cliff-hanging Uluwatu Temple. On arrival in Seminyak check-in at the selected 4/5 Star Hotel, Seminyak for a 4-Night stay on B/B basis. Rest of the day free – overnight stay at the selected Seminyak beachside hotel. (B)

Day 11 – 13: SEMINYAK
On arrangements- overnight stay at the selected Seminyak beachside hotel. (B)

Day 14: SEMINYAK – DENPASAR AIRPORT – LONDON
After Breakfast, check-out of Seminyak hotel (day room occupancy payable locally if required). – the day free until arranged pick up for transfer to Denpasar International) airport. Check-in for overnight one-stop connecting flight to London Heathrow.

Day 15: LONDON
Arrive London Heathrow.
